In this report I investigate the ‘buffer zone’ that Israel imposes on Palestinians.
This arbitrary 300 metre military zone is imposed on all Palestinian land directly bordering with Israel and is maintained as a no man’s land with live gunfire by the Israeli military.
Any and all attempts to enter this Palestinian land (even for agriculture) are met with violent military repression.
Moreover, the land just beyond the zone is subject to regular ground incursions causing property destruction and terror for Palestinians.
I visited a neighbourhood of Khan Yunis after a recent Israeli invasion, where I spoke to Palestinians whose lives are disrupted by this so-called ‘buffer zone’.
